Material Sound — 2018

My work 'Drawn Together, Held Apart' is being shown at MAMA in 'Material Sound' curated by Caleb Kelly. Material Sound brings together 6 contemporary artists who each create an experience of sound within installations and apparatus constructed from everyday materials. The exhibition runs from the 9th February-29 April. As a part of the opening weekend, I performed a series of conversations around the table drawing from Ursula K. Le Guin's essay 'Telling is Listening'. Film Still by Vault Nine Productions.

Art in Soil — 2017

'Unspecified Soilings' involved a series of events at a green space in Kelvin Grove that I facilitated in collaboration with Kate Woodcroft. The project explores the causal links between soil health and human health. Documentation and reflections on this project will be exhibited alongside other artists that have been a part of the six month Art in Soil Initiative, curated by Carol Schwarzman and Renata Buziak. The exhibition opens 6pm, 14th December at POP Gallery, Woolloongabba.

QFF — 2017

I enjoyed creating the artwork for Queensland Film Festival promotional material this year.  QFF director, John Edmond, and I have also co-curated a short film screening at Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre on 24 June 2017 and I will be talking at the Film X Art panel at 5:30pm on Monday 17 July 2017.

Green Screen — 2016

In September, I presented an off-site experimental film screening and audiovisual performance with Dale Gorfinkel and Ross Manning as a part of IMA's Green Screen Program. The short films (co-curated with John Edmond) and performance offered an insight into the my process and thinking in relation to the historical artefacts and materials uncovered at The Foundry, a 19th century warehouse located in the residential slopes of Red Hill, Brisbane. A further iteration of the project will be presented at the IMA in early 2017.
